Shiro salon by 1980/Takuya Hosokai + Hiromasa Mori

Shiro is a hair and beauty salon in Fukui, Japan, built back in 2006 but never before published, by architects 1980/Takuya Hosokai + Hiromasa Mori. Shiro means white in Japanese, in contrast to Kuro, which means black and which is also the name of another house by the same architects. The steel-frame building has a footprint of 78 m2 and a total floor area of 194 m2.

Japanese designers Jamo Associates have completed a boutique in Tokyo for New York fashion designer Phillip Lim. The store, Lim’s first outside New York, is in Tokyo’s Aoyama district.
