At the opening ceremony, awards are conferred on creative individuals and companies, Design in the City events are announced, and the vitrina exhibition and Market and Bazaar fairs are opened. The evening event includes an extensive programme: Eat Drink and Music Experience Design.
Market is a design trade fair which brings together design conscious companies every year. Market isa place where ideas converge, projects interact and advanced thinking takes centre stage. In 2009, Market will be held in Ljubljana at the Ljubljana Castle during Month of Design from 15-16 October.

The events taking place during the Month of Design 2009 between 15th October and 15th November in Ljubljana will be aimed at launching new names, discovering the diversity of available design and presenting the importance of good design. The events will be organised by designers, designer collectives, companies and organisations which seek to establish themselves as design-conscious figures in the market. Bazaar is an interactive venue for presenting and evaluating the region’s and international latest design potential including projects from the fields of product design, fashion and architecture. Bazaar is open to all designers, architects, studios and schools. Their appearance at the event is the subject to the organiser’s reviewing and evaluating their projects in line with professional standards.

Vitrina 09
Vitrina je nova pobuda Meseca oblikovanja, da v okviru projekta Dizajn v mestu oživi mestno jedro in motivira lastnike lokalov, podjetja in inštitucije; trgovce, gostince, galerije, muzeje, da samostojno ali s pomočjo inovativnih podjetij in posameznikov, z izvirno potezo/idejo, v lastnih prostorih, izkažejo svoj kreativni potencial. Mesec oblikovanja poskrbi za njihovo profesionalno in vsebinsko izpostavitev v slovenskem in mednarodnem merilu.
Splošni pogoji razstavljanja v Vitrini 09
1. Razstavljalec lastno kreativno potezo/idejo v obliki inštalacije ali storitve, s pomočjo profesionalne prakse, oblikuje v vidno in/ali čutno oblikovalsko izkustvo ter ga v svoji izložbi, trgovini, lokalu, prostoru, interpretira v terminu MO, od 15. okt. do 15. nov 2009.
2. Izvirna poteza/ideja, inštalacija ali storitev razstavljalca se ujema s temo MO 09 – Prihodnost trajnostnega.
Sodelovanje v Vitrini 09 vključuje strokovno uredniško obravnavo in promocijo v slovenskem in mednarodnem merilu. Zahtevajte ponudbo!
