Design in the City

Design in the City is a territorial project for uncovering diversity and launching novelties in the design offer. It offers an opportunity to all the interested to exhibit their creative potential with events and presentations on their own or hired premises on chosen locations in the city. Evening social gatherings (Event 4) will effectively mingle different professions and publics and encourage creative thoughts and dialogues. Moreover, unique month-long “Vitrina” pop-up exhibitions and presentations (Case 4) will originally fill a variety of used or unused areas in the very centre of the city and dynamically interpret their content (visual as well as sensuous) throughout the entire Month of Design. Events and presentations are organised by businesses, shop and restaurant owners, galleries, museums, schools, and other representatives of creative industries. Collaborating with the Month of Design they target expert, media, and general public with a purpose of promoting quality design, their own professional practice, increasing sale, and contributing to a creative appearance of the city. “Vitrina” events and exhibitions get qualified by an idea and an author’s name.

Small Event (Small Event 4) and evening event After 4: it includes production of a street sign (a sticker), 20 catalogues and brochures/maps, publications in a catalogue, brochure and on a Web site as well as conference fee.

Big Event (Big Event 4) and fashion show (Fashion 4): they include exclusive placement in the event, production and delivery of a street sign (a flag), 100 catalogues and brochures, a page-long article in the catalogue, publication in the brochure and on the Web site, an info point at the event (a magazine rack and a hostess), invitations of expert public, opening speech, recording, photographing, PR, inclusion of an event in a concluding film of the Month of Design, and two conference fees.
